Yo Mama Is Ugly

Filed under: Santa Fe Snapshots, New Mexico — Christopher Crawford @ 2:39 am

I found this tree in the parking lot of the Santa Fe Place Mall one day in September. The graffiti on the exposed area of the trunk says: “YO MAMA IS UGLY”

A tree in the parking lot of the Santa Fe Place Mall has graffiti written on an area of the trunk where the bark is missing. The graffiti says:

A Photo of Me

Filed under: People — Christopher Crawford @ 11:40 pm

When I took the photograph of Dee Dee in yesterday’s post, she asked to take one of me. I gave her one of my digital cameras so she could see the photos right away (I used black and white film in an old manual 35mm camera for my portraits of her). This is the result, one of the better portraits ever done of me. I look BAD in pictures and have only three photos of me that look good. This one, one my son’s mother took several years ago (she was a fine art photographer too), and one done a few months ago by my friend Kay Westhues, a fine art photographer in Indiana.

Dee Dee and Timon

Filed under: People — Christopher Crawford @ 11:41 pm

On the way back to Indiana from Santa Fe I stopped to see Dee Dee. I made several photographs of her on a beautiful overcast day along the Ohio River in Louisville. Isn’t she beautiful?

This is one of her cats, Timon. He’s getting so fat! He was a skinny kitty when I first met him a few years ago.

Back Home Again in Indiana

Filed under: The Road To Indiana — Christopher Crawford @ 9:42 pm

That slogan appeared on Indiana license plates for a while, but in my case its true. I packed up my stuff and left Santa Fe and came back to Fort Wayne, Indiana last week after a couple weeks of preparation.

This photo was one of the very few I took along the way. I was in a hurry to complete the trip as it was very cold and my car’s heater does not work. This sign is visible along Interstate 44 right by the exit at the little town of Marshfield, Missouri. I stopped there for coffee to warm me up.
